⇒ This beautiful bird, my third kingfisher, was sitting on Chinese cement bags in the middle of a giant construction project, aluminum smelters and power plants, in a semi-desert in India, photo taken during my work there. I saw my first kingfisher in the Austrian Alps during a mountaineering tour, my second at the Bosporus in Istanbul, where I worked for 7 years, and the fourth kingfisher in a petrochemical plant in Sheikhupura, Pakistan.
